Importance Of Mental Health

Mental health is equally important as physical health. It significantly impacts all aspects of life ie. the way we think, the way we react, our whole behavioural pattern, our decision-making, problem-solving, etc. Our mental health plays a crucial part on a daily basis, enhancing productivity in activities like work, school, business, etc, and these components are equally important to physical well-being in order for a human being to survive.
For example, chronic anxiety and stress can have an unfortunate impact on the health of your heart, or result in high blood pressure. The sad part is, many suicides have been recorded amongst not only youngsters but middle-aged adults as well, due to just neglecting the mental health issues they were going through.
Have you ever thought about why mental health matters? You heard what they say: Mental health is just as important as physical health. But you’ve hardly heard why people or mental health experts are telling you why it’s badly needed. People with mental health problems do not see a therapist as often as they do with a skin condition to a dermatologist. Some of them go undiagnosed because they believe their behaviour or habits are normal.

Mostly the rural population or the uneducated population tends to overlook their mental issues and never treat them due to the fear of being shamed or bullied in society. Having mental issues has been generalized to being insane by the few unethical people in society and that is the reason the victims are not able to show up and get themselves treated.
Everyone regardless of their social and financial status, Religion, Age, etc should be able to seek therapy, and nobody’s sources and basic rights should be corrupted. Every individual is entitled to make himself/herself better physically and mentally.
